A LITTLE JAUNT TO ART MONTPELLIER?

If you’re an art lover then we recommend you visit Art Montpellier in November at the Parc des Expositions!

Meet a selection of international, national and regional gallery owners specialising in drawings, engravings, paintings, photography, videos, sculptures and more.

There are unmissable events too: conferences, film screenings, themed exhibitions etc.

CONTEMPORARY TOUR OF PORT MARIANNE

During your weekend, don’t miss Port-Marianne district: the district of design and contemporary buildings. Join the banks of the Lez and its contemporary sights!

Pass through Antigone, a district with an ancient look, and see the Arbre Blanc (White Tree) by Sou Fujimoto Architects, Nicolas Laisné Architects, DREAM, Oxo Architects, which proudly dominates the Lez. Why not take the opportunity to visit the Serre, the art gallery at the foot of the building?

You probably need a break after all that. Good things come to those who wait. Venture a little further to feast your eyes on the otherworldly new Montpellier Town Hall then head to Bassin Jacques Coeur just next door. The lagoon is lined with bars and restaurants where you can sate your appetite with the contemporary Nuage by Philippe Starck and RBC Design by Jean Nouvel in line of sight.

Visit Montpellier by following a guided tour

STREET ART IN THE OLD TOWN

Gaze at the “blink and you’ll miss it” work of countless street artists: painted markers on Place St Roch, more trompe-l’œil, collages, bikes in walls… A smiling moon on a bin store here, a mosaic space invader there, stencils with hearts over yonder...

Not forgetting a little jaunt to the Verdanson docks which are like an open-air art gallery for graffiti artists!

A LITTLE JAUNT TO MO.CO. ?

MO.CO. is a must-visit as the beacon of contemporary art in Montpellier!

Take time out to visit the current exhibitions in its venues: Mo.Co. and Panacée.

Fascinating and dazzling.
