Parks and gardens
MONTPELLIER - Port Marianne
At the Eastern entrance to Montpellier, this 90-hectare park is a center for all sorts of activities: the Théâtre des Treize Vents dramatic art centre, the vocational school of journalism, the Espace Rock, a sports complex, an open air leisure centre... . A former 12th century Grand-montain monastery, the beauty of its park and its carefully main-tainedplants and trees (there is a cedar which is hundreds of years old in the park, and a multitude of essences) make it an enchanting place and a source of endless delights.
