The Printemps des Comédiens is an association whose president is the playwright Jean Claude Carrière. It was created at the initiative of the General Council of Hérault in 1987.
Its director until 2010 has been Daniel Bedos. Each year in June, in the fields of theater and live performance, it proposes between 20 and 25 shows and draws more than 40 000 paying spectators. In 2011, Jean Varela become its director.
